The artist Inhae Renee Lee tries to answer the age old mystery of what happens to our baby teeth when the tooth fairy purchases them from under the pillow. She claims that many years afterwards, a baby tooth found itself at her door. Recognizing it as her own, she welcomed her ‘milk toof’ home.
Her artwork explores the journeys and the adventures that her milk toof had experienced before it successfully made it back to her door. The artwork is charming and humorous, but slightly troubling. It makes me wonder if my milk toof got lost on its way back to me?
