Photo-Only Wikis

Fotopedia is the Visual Offshoot of Wikipedia

There’s a new kind of Encyclopedia in town. Now we can learn, search, and find news about people, places, animals, and things through photos. The site is called Fotopedia. Fotopedia's images are from all around the world and they are from professional as well as amateur photographers.

In collaboration with Wikipedia, Fotopedia is a photo search engine that allows you to find photos on different subjects and themes as well as add your own travel or event photos. You can create widgets and share your galleries so that people may contribute to your albums and vote on the photos they like best. Fotopedia also allows you to share your album in the social media community including Facebook, Twitter, and Digg.
