Mealanie Pullen Uses Bloody Models in Vintage Crime Scenes

Melanie Pullen’s most recent photoshoot took a different angle on fashion photography--all of the models in the shoot are dead. While the models don’t look lively, the shoot definitely is. The collection of photos are based on vintage crime scenes and look fantastically mysterious.

This photoshoot is the fashion equivalent of a "CSI" episode... only better.

Implications - Today's desensitized consumer gets a thrill from macabre imagery incorporated into odd places, such as in fashion or beauty photography. This is a result of the scaretainment movement that remains popular even after Halloween. Ultimately, consumers enjoy an odd, dark element in pieces as it makes light of the death and disease they fear.
