Funny Fake Protests

Toronto's North York General Hospital Underwear Affair

North York General Hospital’s Underwear Affair presented by JOE BOXER held a fabulous media launch in Toronto this week. Supporters staged a fake protest to raise awareness about the marathon on August 29. Comically dressed in their underwear and other finery, while waving brightly colored signs, these fake protesters attracted a lot of attention on the city street.

North York General Hospital’s Underwear Affair presented by JOE BOXER is a 10K run or 5K walk which supports research into cancers like prostate, colorectal, ovarian, bladder, cervical, and testicular. Typically cancers in this region are viewed as taboo and do not receive much-needed awareness or funding that is necessary to find a cure.

Participants in the marathon dress in costumes and underwear. After the marathon they enjoy the EXPOsed afterparty which includes live entertainment, cocktails and music. Fake protests are certainly a fun way to raise awareness and stand out in a crowd of worthy causes.
