Auctioning Off Innocence

Australian Filmmaker Recruits for Unusual Naughty Documentary

Australian filmmaker Justin Sisely is seeking a male and female virgin for a documentary in which they will lose their virginity by Internet auction.

Sisely claims to have received about 100 inquiries. He plans to compensate the chosen virgins $20K Australian—about $13K USD—plus 90% of auction profits. He posted ‘Virgins Wanted’ posters at Monash University, triggering an outpouring of protest.

The university removed the posters and called the police. Several ‘family values’ groups have complained. Mr. Sisely is being accused of promoting prostitution.
