Ghostnet attacks Dalai Lama & Nato computers

A new breed of hackers Ghostnet moved beyond basic tools to more sophisticated techniques of actually hearing and seeing people using computers. This time their attack created serious security compromises for government and religious organisations, form Dalai Lama to NATO.
It doesn’t come as no surprise that the computer espionage network is based in China. “We uncovered real-time evidence of malware that had penetrated Tibetan computer systems, extracting sensitive documents from the private office of the Dalai Lama,” investigator Greg Walton said.
Volume of transactions through the Internet constantly grows, computer became one of the essential tools in our work force. We’ve created two separate virtual societies: users and hackers. The question remain…who will win in a war of privacy?
