Mario Lopez pays homage to iconic poses of Hollywood hunks in a revealing shoot for People magazine’s annual Hottest Bachelor issue.

About choosing Lopez, Julie Jordan, People’s chief correspondent for special issues said, “We wanted to re-create the sexiest poses in history, so we needed a bachelor who was in really good shape. And I’ve got to say: We made the perfect choice.”

The most provocative pose is the re-creation of Burt Reynolds’ infamous bearskin-rug pose for Playgirl magazine. Lopez joked about this pose, “The thing with Burt is, he’s a lot hairier than I am. So he’s kind of one with the bear. You don’t know where the bear ends and Burt starts.”

Other sexy recreations include Marky Mark’s Calvin Klein underwear ad, Tom Cruise in Top Gun, Brad Pitt from Thelma and Louise, Richard Gere in American Gigolo, and Christopher Atkins in The Blue Lagoon.
