Facebook has been around for quite some time now, but not a lot of artistic integration has been adapted into the system—a person can’t even change the type of thumbs up icon they can give to a friend.
Artist Jaime Calderón’s illustration of Facebook’s ‘like’ icon is given a supercharged boost. The thumbs up icon of Facebook is outfitted with some much needed superhero flair in her illustrations. Titled ‘Super Likes!,’ each icon showcases various superhero thumbs up. From Batman to Wolverine, the illustrations all showcase that comic book panache that’s sorely lacking in Facebook’s interface. Imagine if you could give someone a Batman thumbs up; that is immensely more gratifying to receive than some bland blue and white thumbs up.
