MINI Cooper Teams Up with Guerlain Chicherit For a 360 Degree Flip

We've all seen extreme sports before, but did you ever think you'd see a car backflip?

MINI Cooper teamed up with French daredevil Guerlain Chicherit to launch a MINI Cooper into the air for an unassisted full 360 degree car backflip. A stunt similar to this was attempted last year by Hot Wheels, but it could only be achieved with the help of a large loop starting point.

In this stunt, Guerlain Chicherit had to hit the 25 ft quarter pipe at exactly 37 mph. If he was going too slow, the car wouldn't have enough torque to rotate 360 degrees. However, if he went too fast, the car would go further forward and not high enough to clear the landing ramp. The landing ramp was made entirely of snow, which gave Chicherit a relatively soft landing.
