The Ever Dry spray is both hydrophobic and oleophobic, which simply means that it repels both water and oil. Despite having a name that sounds like they should be battling the Ninja Turtles for world domination, Ultratech seems to have come through on its bold claims. Since seeing is believing, the video demonstration is actually pretty cool.

Watch as water, mud and a non-descript green liquid are poured over surface after surface only to bead together and roll off, keeping each item always dry. The most impressive demonstration is likely the hiking boot going nearly ankle deep in mud and coming out clean afterwards. The video has actually gone viral, with over 2.5 million views as of this morning.

I think I need to spray my work shirts with this stuff to avoid stains when I inevitably spill my coffee on myself every morning.
