Ricenoir Sake Packaging Benefits from the Hue of the Drink for its Design

There was no need to create an image from scratch for Riceenoir Sake packaging, for one of the colors that completes the adorable bird is the same as the tint of the beverage. This deep burnt orange hue might have actually influenced the choice of this particular avian species as the visual feature on the label. Illustrated with simple color-blocking, the logo required just a bit of black, white and blue to complement the suggestion of the fowl's red belly.

Konrad Sybilski chose a species of bird that is local to Japan, and therefore quite relevant as a mascot for the drink. On Riceenoir Sake packaging, it perches lightly upon a thin band of text and is matched with the bold blue of the cap sticker and its minimalist treated box.
