Downstairs Takes a Creative Step Above the Conventional Fixture

A quick glance from the other side of the room and you might first perceive Downstairs by Bertjan Pot as a recognizable chandelier. However, it doesn't take much more of an in-depth observation before you realize you're familiar with this object for a very different reason.

Each 'Stairway to Heaven' suspended light fixture is made using a safety ladder of either four, six or eight steps in size. The height and width increase proportionally yet every model is quite substantial and ideal for large spaces with high ceilings.

Attached to the metal sides and every rung of the step ladder are rows of lightbulbs. DH PH offers the choice of energy efficient LEDs or fanciful carnival lights to brighten up the upside-down contemporary candelabra, Downstairs by Bertjan Pot.
