The Rolling Stones Documentary Commemorates the Band’s 50th Anniv

Fans of one of rock-n-roll’s most legendary bands will get a glimpse behind the curtain with the release of the Rolling Stones documentary entitled Crossfire Hurricane.

The film premiered in the US November 15th and continues to make its way through European premiers into December. Commemorating the band’s 50th anniversary, the film is directed by Brett Morgan (previously known for directing The Kid Stays In The Picture).

Of the same era as The Beatles, the Rolling Stones are positioned as the dark, hardcore rock equalizer to The Beatles’ golden image. In the trailer for the film a reporter asks Mick Jagger to explain the hysteria surrounding the group. Jagger smirks and replies “Some kind of chemical reactions are happening.”

New interviews from every band member guide the story in this Rolling Stones documentary, while historical concert and behind the scenes footage is pieced together.
