Currently in development and taking donations on Indiegogo.com, Misfit Shine is well on its way to becoming a hit. In fact, audiences are so enthusiastic that they've donated well over the $100,000 fundraising goal.

This activity tracker is a solid metal pedometer that communicates with your smartphone. Syncing is achieved simply by placing Misfit Shine on the screen of your phone while the Misfit Shine app is open. Once it's synced, it communicates your strides and exertion throughout the day. About the size of a quarter, the device is waterproof and can be clipped onto your running shoe, kept in your pocket or worn around your wrist.

To get one you can donate $79, but you'll have to wait until March 2013 to get it.
