Venturing into galaxies far, far away, the Angry Birds franchise gets a heavy dose of sci-fi with the Angry Birds Star Wars clips.
Looks like the wildly popular mobile game is set to attract even more fans thanks to a collaboration with Lucasfilm that will introduce characters stories and settings from the Star Wars franchise to the world of Angry Birds. The game will feature all the usual pig-pulverizing projectiles, but this time they'll be presented with personas like Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca and other galaxy-saving rebels from the six Star Wars movies.
"This is the best Angry Birds game we’ve ever done. It’s the best parts of Angry Birds with all new cutting-edge gameplay set in in a galaxy far, far away," says chief marketing officer at Rovio Entertainment, Peter Vesterbacka. "As a big 'Star Wars' fan myself, I’m really excited about this new universe. The Force is definitely strong with this one."
