Cultivate Wines is a nonprofit wine company founded by a husband and wife team that produces six uniquely branded wines. Cultivate Wines strives to offer delicious wine at a fair price while letting each customer to give back.

Based in Santa Barbara, California, Cultivate's Charles and Ali Banks blend their expertise in running the socially conscious wine business, which utilizes grapes from international vineyards with an additive-free guarantee making the wines all-natural.

Inspired by Kiva, Cultivate launched the Give platform to facilitate its pledge of donating 10% of its net proceeds to charities focused on education or providing basic needs.

The startup organizes its giving through an online voting platform, currently donating $100,000 per quarter. Of 30 nonprofit entrants, the one that secures the most votes each quarter is awarded $50,000, with an additional $10,000 going to the five runners up.
