My Card My Story Empowers Children in Mumbai by Showcasing Their Art

My Card My Story produces a line of greeting cards that showcase the artwork of impoverished young artists living in Mumbai, India. Started by four Princeton University student during their undergrad in fall 2010, MCMS is partnered with the Akanksha Foundation and is still based out of Princeton, New Jersey.

The Akanksha Foundation is a non-profit organization that endeavors to operate high quality schools for children from low income families in Mumbai and Pune. MCMS specifically works with the Foundation's art program, which offers structured, skill-based art courses, strands of which provide original art to create a unique line of greeting cards.

The proceeds from the distinctive greeting cards go back into funding further education for the young artists.
