The 'Women Sort Yourself Out' Video Plays on Common Stereotypes

Juxtaposing the hilarious advertising styles of commercials and products targeted towards men versus those targeted towards women, the 'Women Sort Yourself Out' parody is absolutely hysterical. With the intense amount of negative advertising towards women for wrinkle products, adult diapers, and more, advertisers are time and time again telling women that they must "sort themselves out."

Comparing women's ads to men's that seem to only target shaving and beer, the tagline in the spoof commercial tells men to "shave and get drunk, because you're already brilliant."

The comical ad is a hilarious comment on the way advertisers go about marketing products. By demeaning women and puffing up men, they are sending a strong signal about the way they think that society thinks and are thereby encouraging a stereotypical standard.
