The online retailer ASOS has been foraying into new territory lately, what with its recent ASOS Salon collection featuring vintage and feminine dresses, and now, with its ASOS Black line designed by Lauren McCalmont.
McCalmont, an MA graduate from Central Saint Martins who has worked with Thomas Tait and Peter Pilotto, has designed this capsule collection of dresses, which center on fun and look-at-me patterns. The ASOS Black line features contemporary frocks with cool graphic twists and are chock-full of vibrant prints mish-mashed together in an offbeat, but very pretty, way.
The looks in the ASOS Black line are a McCalmont signature, who states that she loves "multi-layered prints" and "mixing graphic shapes with handwritten and painted elements." Inspired by graphics of the 1970s, as well as graffiti, the styles include bright floral patterns, mesh inserts, dropped waist and tank silhouettes and more.
