Finger Frame Photo Devices

The Ubi-Camera Takes Pictures of Scenes Created By Your Pointers

A Japanese research group developed this finger frame camera which lets users snap a photo by looking through their fingers. Instead of pretending to be a film director you actually can be one with this mini gadget.

The camera, which is the size of a matchbox, sticks onto your finger where a infrared range sensor calculates how far your finger frame is away from your head to capture what you are actually seeing through your fingers. This allows you to zoom or get more wide-angle photos.

This prototype finger frame camera is connected to a computer through a cord. The device's researchers say that they are trying to alleviate some of the technical issues and want to integrate face recognition into the mini camera as well.
