Faceless Model Runways

The A.F. Vandevorst FW 2012 Collection Features Huge Scarves and Hats

The A.F. Vandevorst FW 2012 collection debuted at Paris Fashion Week. The line features a myriad of textures and modern variations of a neutral color palate. The models in the show were adorned with over-sized scarves and wide-brimmed hats, completely masking their faces, and the look evoked a mysterious, villainous vibe. The apparel was heavily draped with wools and tweeds. Memorable pieces included a voluminous fur scarf and a long, rose-hued jumper.

Designers An Vandevorst and Filip Aricks met in 1987 on their first day of classes at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. They founded A.F. Vandevorst and met tremendous success, winning the Venus de le Mode. The luxury apparel is available at the most prestigious shops in Tokyo, Paris, New York, London and Moscow.
