Movie-Inspired Tool Ads

The Bahco Campaign Playfully Spoofs Famous Films

The advertising industry is no stranger to using iconic movies to help sell products and services, but the Bahco campaign is a first. It features a range of hand tools such as wrenches, a hedge trimmer and screw driver to replace actresses and actors in the scenes that made them famous. Interestingly, the tools make sense in each scene. For instance, the ‘American Beauty’ spoof stars a trimmer that could have been used to cut the roses that supplied the petals.

Conceived by One 7 Group, an ad agency based in Santa Fe, Argentina, the Bahco campaign is playfully creative and fun. It appeals to a completely different demographic with no threat of losing its loyal customers. The Bahco campaign also puts these tools in a new light.
