'Las Calles De Borges' Imagines Life as Poet Jorge Luis Borges

'Buenos Aires: Las Calles de Borges' is a stunning and whimsical short film that imagines everyday life from the perspective of legendary Argentinean poet and writer Jorge Luis Borges. The homage is by Ian Ruschel and was filmed in Buenos Aires and Capilla de Senor using a Canon 5d. The short film is extremely successful in capturing the essence of Borges' writing, as does the actor portraying him.

Jorge Luis Borges, who died in 1986, is best regarded for his unreal and magical view of the world due to the emphasis on themes such as dreams, labyrinths and spirituality well-represented in his work. Ruschel quotes Borges in the description of the film on Vimeo: "poets, like the blind, can see in the dark."
