The Bowery House Pays Tribute to the World War II Era

The Bowery House is the lastest hostel to pop up on Manhattan Island. Although it may be new in the hotelier business, the building itself is steeped in history; it is this history that has inspired the decor of the Bowery House.

Back in the 1940s, the Bowery House was known as The Prince Hotel, which was once used as temporary lodgings for soldiers returning home from World War II. Maintaining its old-world charm, the Bowery House definitely has a period feel to it. Yet, the building has gone through a huge re-haul.

The Bowery House now boasts 300 thread-count sheets and other luxe touches. It is comprised of single and shared rooms, communal bathrooms as well as a bar, kitchen, garden and living room.
