Tribal Textured Womenswear

The Tsolmandakh Munkhuu Fall 2011 Lookbook is Culturally Inspired

To date, the Fall 2011 lookbooks I've had the pleasure of seeing have been nothing but original and enticing, and the Tsolmandakh Munkhuu collection is certainly no exception. According to Trendland, Tsolmandakh ”Tsolo” Munkhuu is a Mongolian-born, Paris-based womenswear designer who started her own line in 2010 after winning the Public Award of the Hyères Festival.

Her line is inspired by a fun mix of traditional Mongolian native fashions, Buddhist motifs and urban flavor. Her use of color is limited to blacks, tans and neutrals that are perfect for fall, and it is the variety of textures, wide array of materials and fabrics, and wildly shaped cuts that make the collection so dramatic and original.

The Tsolmandakh Munkhuu Fall 2011 lookbook is full of tribal flavor and features patterns of designs that are likely to emerge widely in the fashion world this upcoming season.

Tribal-textured Clothing
Designing clothing items that combine traditional cultural designs with modern fabrics could yield profitable opportunities for fashion lines.
Urban Native Fashion
Incorporating indigenous and urban styles could be an innovative fashion trend among modern women's apparel lines.
Limited Color Palette
Restricting color options for seasonal fashion items may be an attractive innovative approach to offer unique fashion collections that stand out from competitors.

Who This Affects Most

Fashion
Fashion brands looking to create unique collections that stand out against the increasing competition in the industry should consider incorporating traditional designs and urban fashion into their clothing lines.
Textile Manufacturing
Manufacturers could partner with designers to bring creativity and a sense of culture to textiles by adding more texture, unique patterns, and materials to their products.
Fashion Photography
Aspects of traditional cultural motifs used in fashion lines provide a new opportunity for creative photographers to showcase their work in a unique way and increase demand for fashion advertising.
