The Jamie Oliver Food Revolution Truck Aims to Fight Childhood Obesity

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has just unveiled his Food Revolution truck, a gigantic mobile kitchen that features eight cooking stations, an expediting kitchen, a line of sinks and plenty of storage for pots and pans.

Jamie Oliver plans to use the Food Revolution truck as a traveling culinary school for kids in underserved communities; each cooking station can accommodate two children, and the cooking stations can be pushed together to create one big table.

The Food Revolution truck was designed by David Rockwell and the Rockwell Group pro bono. Jamie Oliver hopes to use the truck to spread his message of healthy home cooking throughout Los Angeles, with planned trips to South Los Angeles, Boyle Heights, Santa Ana and Long Beach.
