Ikea Interactive Bed Projection

The Ikea store in Sweden is using interactive projection technology to attract attention to its beds. The projection shows sleeping couples in a bed and if you sit in the bed, the projected character moves out of the way. Check it out.

Implications - The appeal of this nifty application of technology might be more novel than anything else, but you definitely have to give credit to IKEA for taking the time to set it up. If I were a customer at one of their stores, I'd probably end up spending hours playing with these projected figures. They might soon have to set up projected security guards to get people to leave!
