18 Examples of Fake Taxidermy

Heading to the calls of my inner red neck, I’ve assembled a slide that showcases faux modern taxidermy.

Years after leaving farm life to move to the big smoke, there is still an intrigue within me that cannot deny the fascination with creative animal mounts.

While I am very much against hunting for the purpose of attaining trophy heads, I do like the idea of faux wall mounts made of papier mache.

Equally beautiful, in my eyes, are the sculptures made of antlers. There is a huge misconception that this supports animal cruelty as most people don’t know that animals like deer, moose and elk all shed their antlers naturally each year anyway.

Enjoy the gallery, and consider the possibility of fake taxidermy as a new interior design movement.
