2000XR Uses Lithium-Ion

The 2000XR electric scooter features a lithium-ion battery developed by A123 Systems that is lighter, more powerful and charges quicker than the NiMH batteries that are standard on most electric scooters.

The Roth Motor Company scooter upgrade is targeted as those concerned with the environment, and will to give a little on the speed factor. This scooter travels at a max of 15 miles per hour, "but boasts improved torque, range and hill climbing capabilities over its predecessor," GizMag reported.

That predecessor is the 2000X MotorBoard electric scooter, another eco-friendly way to get around the urban jungle.
