Jennifer Anderson's Chairs Redefine Mass-Produced Seating

Furniture designer Jennifer Anderson has garnered her latest inspiration for a chair series from an Eames LCW, a Thonet Café Chair and a Wegner Wishbone, and recreated them into unique chairs designed from mud and steel.

Knowing she wanted to work in mud, Jennifer Anderson said she first designed a chair which was “a nice, simple design, it’s meant to be seen as a generic chair form, not ‘high design.’”

Not satisfied with what she thought would be mostly shrugs from those viewing the chair, Jennifer Anderson decided to go with known chair styles which would be much more noticeable and create a stronger response.

The “Mud Series” chairs are sold only from Jennifer Anderson’s website, and start off at $2,900.
