Wearable Metabolism Monitors

'Gruve' Reminds You When It's Time to Get Moving

The Gruve metabolism monitor was designed by Dr. Jim Levine of the Mayo Clinic.

This nifty little device, which conveniently clips onto the user’s clothing, monitors an individual’s motions and measures their metabolic progress against their pre-measured benchmark. This progress is shown by the color of the LED indicator light, located on the top of the Gruve.

If an individual is too passive, the Gruve emits a light vibration as a reminder to start moving more.
