Driftwood Horses

Lifesize Sculptures

Heather Jansch is setting a new trend. Her horse sculptures are made of driftwood, they are life-like and in my opinion, gorgeous. She creates smaller versions, life-size versions and driftwood and bronze sculptures of other animals too.

Heather Jansch's studio in South West England is open 2 or 3 times a year - check her website for details: www.heatherjansch.com.

Implications - Realistic or not, it's always been intriguing to see how artists achieve this surrealistic style of work considering the amount of labor and material required to make this achievable. These make for some inspiring decor pieces that designers can perhaps create for those who want a to-scale representation of an object that inspires them.
