Maori-Inspired Rugby Uniforms

New World Cup Jerseys Were Revealed for the New Zealand All Blacks

New World Cup jerseys were announced for the New Zealand All Blacks as they will compete in the Rugby World Cup, which takes place in Japan. The jerseys were designed by Y-3 and adidas Rugby. The jerseys will be available for purchase before the start of the world cup in September.

The company notes that the design of the world cup jerseys attempts to combine influences from Māori as well as Japanese cultures. The rugby club's Māori advisor, Luke Crawford, describes how the design represents previous players as well as the future of the organization.

The jersey is designed to be breathable, this is due to the reduced weight of the jersey, which weighs 25% less than other designs.
