Designer Tsuchiya Kaban Watermelon Bag Perfectly Houses the Fruit

The watermelon is a fruit that everyone enjoys, yet a method of carrying this item home from the grocery store seamlessly has yet to present itself -- this is one of the reasons designer Tsuchiya Kaban underwent a fun and exciting project to design a leather bag that perfectly houses the fruit.

The Japan-based designer has been making leather bags since the 1960s, making this project - which is equal parts unique and challenging - something completely new. The bag is useful and incredibly intricate, which a design that specifically allows for expansion upon the watermelon entering. In addition, its incredibly stylish as the soft brown leather makes for the perfect accessory for traveling to and from the store.
