Photographers Matthieu Lavanchy & James Thom were awarded the SVA Photoglobal Award by ITS#SEVEN for this collection of striking photographs.
Their work explores today's political and social tensions and comments on the way violent and dramatic images presented by the mass media create a sense of paranoia in our everyday lives.
Implications - Photography and art has the ability to inform as well as captivate, and thus, organizations around the world have a lot to learn from photo collections like this when it comes to making a boldly profound statement in a provocative way. Charities in particular would do well to remember that more can be said with a well-composed photograph than endless paragraphs of text.
