Polychromatic Denture Prints

Stratasys Debuted its TrueDent System on J5 DentaJet

Stratasys introduced TrueDent, a polychromatic 3D printed denture system, using its J5 DentaJet platform to produce lifelike, multicolor prosthetic teeth. Launched with FDA clearances and recent European Class IIa approval, the system prints full-color, monolithic dentures featuring graded translucency and shade matching designed to mirror natural dentition.

TrueDent leverages PolyJet voxel-based printing to combine multiple hues and surface characteristics in a single print run, reducing manual labor and assembly. Stratasys said the platform increased throughput—printing dozens of prosthetics in hours—and showcased the tech publicly by offering complimentary dentures to an athlete during the 2026 Winter Olympics publicity moment.

For consumers and labs this matters because TrueDent blends analog-level aesthetics with digital speed and repeatability, easing technician shortages and speeding same-week turnaround. The capability signals a broader shift toward on-demand, highly customized dental prosthetics in mainstream clinical workflows.
