I only recently discovered artist Hajime Sorayama. His pictures fascinate me as they manage to be both fabulously modern and super retro at the same time with more than a sniff of the 70s about them. These images are awesome and even give Giles Walker pole dancing robots a run for their money.
Sorayama’s published his art in 1983; with the title of Sexy Robot, it was a massive hit catapulting him to the status of pop cultural icon. Over 20 years later ,his pieces have indeed stood the test of time, their impact on new and old artists never fading.
