Swiss Brand On Launches the Cyclon Model as a Subscription

Running sneakers can get a fair bit of wear and tear, especially when one exercises often. It is believed that you need to switch out your footwear approximately every 500 km because features like arch support, cushioning, and the like are starting to wear down. Swiss running brand On recently introduced its Cyclon silhouette to the market, but the model will be "available solely via a monthly subscription."

The Cyclon running sneakers are fully recyclable, bio-based shoes, made primarily out of castor beans. The model is "part of the company's long-term sustainability vision." The reason why they are offered as a subscription-only shoe is that On wanted to ensure that the recycling loop actually works; that every old pair will be returned directly to the company. For $29.99 a month, individuals can send back the shoes and receive new ones as often as they'd like/.
