Scenic River-Route Cycling Cruises

Riverside Offers Riverside Mozart Cycling Sailings

Riverside Luxury Cruises is offering Riverside Mozart cycling sailings that feature up to 405 miles of pedaled routes along the Danube Cycle Path. The program runs as two seven-night segments—Passau to Vienna, July 22–29, and Vienna to Budapest, July 29–August 5—or as a combined 14-night Passau to Budapest itinerary. Each day presents a new ride, with stages that vary from about 18 to 62 miles.

Cyclists may use an e-bike from the ship’s fleet or bring their own; the vessel provides storage and a support vehicle for logistics. An expert cycling guide accompanies the rides. Routes thread the Wachau Valley, include the Schlögen Loop and the Danube Bend toward Visegrád, and offer passages such as Melk to Dürnstein while the ship awaits at each port.

Riders can tailor each day—cycle fully, take a break, or choose a Riverside Choice excursion—and companions can pursue separate activities before regrouping for dinner. The full 14-night trip also includes an after-hours Belvedere Palace visit with a private musical performance and access to Klimt’s The Kiss. Seven-night fares start at $5,081 per person double; the 14-night option starts at $10,161 double.
