The PS Square Improves Upon the Design of the Sony Xperia PLAY

If Sony wants to keep their dreams of a PlayStation smartphone alive, then they should check out the PS Square. The PS Square is a conceptual smartphone designed by Hirotaka Matsui. The PS Square shares some design elements with the Xperia PLAY such as its touchscreen and keyboard.

The PS Square differs from the Xperia PLAY in many ways, size being the greatest. The PS Square is massive, housing a six-inch OLED touchscreen. The PS Square's keyboard and controls are nearly as wide as its screen but come in at half of the length. Matsui's design features awesome additions such as built-in WiFi and a front-facing video camera and microphone for video chatting. The design is great, but it seems to be a tad too bulky to be a smartphone. I could see the Square doing some sales damage as a handheld gaming device that also makes calls.
