The 'Once' Dating App Uses Real People to Connect Compatible Singles
Christopher Magsambol — November 12, 2015 — Lifestyle
The Once dating app aims to bring traditional modes of dating back, by handpicking compatible singles. Once a day, each app user will be given a match who has been specially selected for each person. Based on the profiles and information given by users who signed up for the app, singles have the chance to connect with someone and possibly go on a date with them.
Matches are chosen based on a criteria including interests, looks and personal preferences. Each day, a different match or 'date' is chosen, which a user can either accept or decline. Rather than scrolling through profiles, or swiping left or right, the Once dating app provides a more streamlined dating service that essentially organizes daily blind dates for you. The UK-based app has also launched in France and has already gained quite a following.
