AI-Assisted Video Makers

Google Vids Adds Gemini-Powered AI Video Creation

Google Vids is adding Gemini Omni to its video creation tools, giving Google Account and Google Workspace users a free way to make AI-generated video clips. The feature is designed for people without professional editing experience, allowing them to create video within Google’s existing workspace rather than relying on separate editing software.

Users can set a specific clip length and generate scenes in 1080p, giving them more control over how the finished video fits into a project. The added timing controls can be useful for content such as narration, product demonstrations and short social videos, while the higher resolution gives the clips a more finished look.

For consumers, the update makes it easier to create polished video for smaller projects without learning a full editing platform. It also gives users more control over the final result, rather than relying entirely on automatically generated clips.
