Shadow Interface Updates

Vivo's OriginOS 7 Reveals New UI With Light and Shadow Updates

Vivo's OriginOS 7 is a software update based on Android 17 that rethinks the phone interface with a Light and Shadow Aesthetics system, featuring translucent surfaces, live blur and responsive lighting. The update embeds glass-like visual effects that react to wallpapers and interaction, bringing animated breathing and wiggle motions to background elements. Users will see these effects across the Home Screen, Lock Screen and system apps.

OriginOS 7 adds a redesigned Control Center where Quick Settings tiles can be resized, moved and themed, plus an OriginPlayer that supports other music apps for full-screen playback on the lock screen. A Premium Texture setting offers three visual styles—Realistic, Natural and Soft—with real-time blur and advanced lighting. Super Pocket switches to stacked cards, stickers can be cut from photos and Atomic Workbench brings multi-app layouts to regular phones.

The update promises tangible benefits: deeper personalization, more expressive wallpapers and practical multitasking with Atomic Workbench, while Vivo cites faster rendering, quicker app opening and lower power draw during animations. Features shown are tied to the Chinese version and the final global feature set could differ.
