Energy Efficiency Smartphone Chips

Samsung's New Chip Technology is Built for 5G and AI

Samsung has created new chip technology that will be used in its upcoming models, which will begin mass production shortly. The new chip technology is titled LPDDR5, and it will allow 5G devices with an increase in performance speed. The new chips will also allow devices to utilize more energy efficient RAM which will help the device to perform machine learning and AI tasks.

The next-gen chip design implements 10-nanometer technology, and it was designed to perform at speeds 1.3 times faster than its predecessor. Also noteworthy in design is that it uses 30% less power than older editions, this will make devices more power-efficient. Samsung indicates that all of the new components in the design will allow smartphones to better implement 5G and AI technologies.
