Network-Based Fraud Detection

Comviva and Aduna Strengthen Banking Security with Network APIs

Comviva and Aduna are advancing network-based fraud detection by helping financial institutions use mobile operator information to verify identities and identify suspicious activity. Their collaboration connects Comviva's NGAGE platform with Aduna's standardized network APIs, allowing banks and fintech companies to access telecommunications data through a unified interface. This approach supports SIM-swap detection, which identifies potentially fraudulent changes to a customer's mobile number.

The companies are demonstrating these capabilities at Money20/20 USA in October 2026. NGAGE currently supports more than 7,000 enterprises and offers over 25 network APIs. Its verification tools can also reduce reliance on one-time passwords while simplifying customer onboarding.

For financial institutions, these capabilities could strengthen fraud controls while reducing authentication delays. The collaboration also creates opportunities for telecommunications providers to expand commercial API adoption as demand for secure digital financial services grows.
