Military Beach Editorials

Warp features the Neighbourhood 'Less Than Zero' Collection

The Neighbourhood 'Less Than Zero' collection works well in this rugged beach editorial. The photoshoot was featured in the Japanese publication Warp Magazine. The collection designed by Neighbourhood head designer Shinsuke Takizawa adopts a very Americana feel. It strangely features iconography of military pieces alongside Hawaiian-themed looks that are part of the limited-edition Aloha series. Though unexpected, these two different styles work very well together.

The actual overarching theme of the 'Less Than Zero' collection is the 1987 cult film of the same name that starred a young Robert Downey Junior. This Warp magazine editorial blends all these themes together in this black and white shoot, from the location to the styling of the clothing.
