The Mordekai Chastity Summer 14 Campaign is Bedazzled and Cheeky

The new Mordekai Chastity Summer 14 collection by Ken Borochov is a dramatic, bejeweled assemblage of lingerie that showcased at The Standard Hotel. The eye-catching pieces featured lots of headwear – for example, a pastel pink head cage adorned with flowers, or the multi-colored Gladiator-inspired headwear. The models strutted their stuff in barely there, colorful cut-out one-pieces, many of which had bling-y flowers descending towards the crotch in a chastity belt fashion. The models were also accessorized with typographic jewelry, spelling out words like “GOD,” “QUEEN,” or “THRILL.”

Borochov spoke about his inspiration for the collection with milkmade.com, stating that, “Its premise lies in the exploration of self-expression and self-acceptance, with a virginal yet provocative Lolita at the center. The collection is trying to convey the censorship and suppression promoted in our world that masks and cages in a deceivably golden and prudish façade.” He lists his main influences as Cher and Leigh Bowery, as well as aspects of black culture. The Mordekai Chastity Summer 14 collection is truly a spectacle to be seen.
