Missoni and Converse Teamed Up for the 'Hiker' Chuck Taylor All Star Remodel
Riley von Niessen — November 8, 2016 — Fashion
In order to add some diversity to the American footwear manufacturer's selection for the Fall/Winter 2016 season, a Missoni and Converse collaborative model was created.
Taking the ever-popular 'Chuck Taylor All Star 70' silhouette, Missoni, an Italian brand that specializes in knitwear, swapped out the normally canvas upper for a more rugged wool material. On it, a zigzag pattern was included in a relatively subtle fashion -- with tones marking it to play off the rest of the colorway.
The Missoni and Converse sneakers come in either a neutral olive version or a brighter adaptation in blue. Dubbed the 'Hiker,' the collaborative release gets its name from its weathered appearance and the patterned laces that finish it off -- which are often used on traditional hiking boots.
