Luxe label Givenchy debuted its menswear haute couture collection for the Fall/Winter 2019 season. The silhouettes prove to be exceptionally extravagant, liberal with their choice and combination of fabrics, bold in color, as well as contradictory with regard to traditional men's clothing.
With a subtle hint of gender confrontation, the Givenchy Fall/Winter 2019 boasts tailored navy leather jackets with a waist belt, iridescent belt bags, and slim-fitting suits in daring tonalities. The menswear haute couture capsule is reported to draw inspiration and reference designs of 70s and 90s fashion. This can effortlessly be observed from the bell-bottom shape of the vibrant dress pants or the semi-transparent cropped jacket.
The presentation which was held during Paris Fashion Week marked the first time that Givenchy exhibited its menswear haute couture separately from its women's offerings.
