Lukas Wassmann left a promising career as a carpenter to take a chance with his photography, and boy, are we glad he did!
After paying his dues as an assistant to photographers in New York, Milan and Zurich, Wassmann went on to study photography professionally in Zurich and Los Angeles. With both education and hands-on experience under his belt, Wassman was able to hone and develop his natural talent. The Swiss native now teaches in one of the countries most esteemed cultural institutes, ECAL.
Whether he's doing editorial or advertising work, Wassman's projects always turn out to be incredibly engaging. Take, for instance, his playful shots of Lora Lamm at home for Apartamento magazine. When it comes to a photographer of Wassmann's caliber, even something so ordinary takes on a special quality.
